If you find yourself in an unfamiliar place thinking of us; remember when you were home thinking of unfamiliar places.
The world is big, but friendships aren’t, they’re close and stubborn, they don’t want to move.
So if you find yourself in an unfamiliar place and thinking of us, remember we’re closer than you think.
Close to Open
For all the torments and troubles in the world, for all the distant longings and fated failures that will indefinitely be ours- you looked upon the lives around you and you could only ponder on their pains and pleasures, it gave you a sense of authenticity, it gave you all the visions of a mad man.
So in turn you created, you imagined holding them in the palm of your one hand, oh so delicately, and with the other, you lifted above them and spun one finger round and round, whirling their lives in the direction you perceived for them.
And in circles they will go; you watch as circles close to open, leaving an eternity of perpetual order.
Soon you stood, spinning in motion, holding your head whilst the whirling continued to stir in your mind, only to perceive that that of the endings and beginnings which nurtured your trust were actually the callings of the present.
The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.
Sweet and Forgiving
I have a feeling.
I have a feeling Im going to die tonight.
We’re driving and the beach boys are on the radio. We had to much to eat accompanied with amazing conversation.
The stars are out and we’re driving past the CBD city lights looking over the oceans waterfront.
If its just a feeling well then it makes this moment radically sweeter and if not, well then it makes death just slightly more forgiving.
